I don't remember where I first heard of Virgil...probably his work with Planet X. I've been a huge fan ever since. Would've been fun to see what he would've done as Dream Theater's drummer.

@@arnojules5526 I don't find this boring at all. Rather exciting, it looks like an adventurer discovering new ways in a jungle of rhythms. But yes, it is a drum solo, so, closer to a demonstration of technicity, than usual music (even if I hear a kind of musicality in it).

I went to his clinic back in '97 and he gave me shit about not clapping along with him while he was explaining a drum pattern. I guess he didn't see my left hand was wrapped up from surgery after I cut a tendon on my left hand. I tried to explain it to him after the clinic was over and I could tell he felt bad about it and we chatted about my injury for about 15 minutes.
Editing is unwatchable.

Amazing and I feel he has the fastest cleanest single stroke rolls all around his many,many drums!! Really is an Amazing thing to see and hear!! I'm playing and teaching for over 45 year's this cat is pouring his heart out! A true demon drummer, in a great way!! Double stroke rolls with his feet!!! Very hard to do @ that Speed!! WoW!!
